Good book with a very interesting list of topics

This book is very different from the standard fare I am used to. I'm used to IT books getting extremely technical in one area, but leaving out several topics I wanted to see. This book goes all the way from subnetting all the way to the BGP best path selection and manages to hit linux, security, VoIP and IPv6 on the way there. The only downfall of the book is that with a top list so wide there are times I wished things went a bit deeper. I really liked how the authors decided to use configurations from both Cisco and Juniper devices as I was looking to branch out.

This is one of the few books I have read on Networking Technology that does a really good job of bringing it all together.
The book is well organized and contains more relevant information than most.
I would recommend this book to anyone seeking to gain a deeper understanding of network technology and protocols.
The indexing is excellent if you are trying to learn or refresh on a particular topic.

These are handy little cards to carry with you in your drawing bag, if toting a larger anatomy book is cumbersome. The drawings are accurate, clear, and detailed. Most of the cards are devoted to skeleton and musculature, which is great or artists. There are many different viewing angles, and each view starts with deep layers, then progresses to upper layers.

About the Author
Shirley Cohen, PhD, a professor in the Department of Special Education at Hunter College of the City University of New York for many years, became Professor Emeritus in 2011. In her role at Hunter College, Dr. Cohen co-developed the ASD Nest program for the New York City public schools with Dorothy Siegel of New York University, and continues to serve as a consultant and intervention developer for the program. She is the author of the book Targeting Autism, originally published in 1998 and since 2006 in its third edition, as well as two earlier books on disability: Special People (1977) and Respite Care (1985). She is also a coauthor of Everyday Classroom Strategies and Practices for Supporting Children With Autism Spectrum Disorders (AAPC Publishing).

Lauren Hough, MsEd, is the coaching consultant for the ASD Nest Support Project at New York University s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. In this role, she provides professional development workshops, school-based consultation, and seminars on meeting the needs of school-aged students on the spectrum in inclusion settings. Prior to working as a consultant, Ms. Hough worked for five years as a special education teacher and school-based coach in the ASD Nest program. She is a coauthor of Everyday Classroom Strategies and Practices for Supporting Children With Autism Spectrum Disorders (AAPC Publishing).

Unbelievable Program

My 6 year old has been in the ASD Nest program in Queens NY and it is amazing! The teachers and therapists do a wonderful job of understanding my daughters needs while challenging her high IQ. The Nest model has made my child excel and feel good about school and about trying to develop friends. The co teaching classroom of few high functioning ASD children along with typical children gives her the best of both worlds. The support of the program is a God send and is a program that should be in all schools in all states. The Board of Ed was right on point allowing this program in their NYC schools. God bless the creators and founders of such a game changing program for our high functioning and asperger children!!

My autistic son is in a Nest school. The program is phenomenal. Best choice for a child on the spectrum who can keep us with a general academic curriculum. He meets or exceeds expectations. The support from the administration, teachers, and his classmates has encouraged him to thrive and become a social butterfly.

By identifying the main drivers of corruption worldwide and analyzing current efforts to control them, Global Corruption: Money, Power, and Ethics in the Modern World suggests ways in which the problems caused by corruption can be addressed and ultimately prevented.

Laurence Cockcroft is a master of the subject and brings a wealth of experience. His Chapter headings neatly depict the major threats and current challenges in curbing corruption and the influence of organised crime.

A Missed Opportunity.

A wide-ranging discussion of corruption around the world, written by an author described as one of the founders of the leading anti-corruption organization Transparency International, sounds like an appealing read. Sadly the opportunity has been largely squandered. Neither Mr. Cockcroft nor his publisher seems to believe in doing one's research and -- especially -- checking one's facts. As a result, the book is littered on a large scale with factual errors both mundane (dates, proper names, etc.) and more consequential, including serious misreadings of the political context for corruption in a number of the countries discussed here (e.g., the depiction of Mario Vargas Llosa of Peru as a strong presidential candidate from the Left, when in fact he ran on a neo-liberal platform for a center-right party, or a scrambled account of the role of Mexico in the international cocaine trade). This is a lazily-written book and it shows. A pity!

Iran’s nuclear programme and the alleged threat to international peace and security remains one of the most important issues in the United States, as well as in European foreign affairs. In the US, Iran has dominated the political discourse for over three decades and Europe has spent considerable political capital in finding a diplomatic solution to Iran’s nuclear ambitions. While relations between both states remain subject to mutual hostility, the EU remains a channel of communication and since 2003 has maintained a multilateral negotiation framework.

By and large, the narrative on nuclear negotiations is dominated by constructivist and realist literature, portraying relations between the US and Iran in ideological terms as a prolonged struggle for regional influence. Embedded within conflict resolution and diplomatic theory, this work attempts to bridge this gap. Drawing upon primary documents and interviews, the text examines negotiation behaviour, and strategies and tools of statecraft, as well as analysing technical aspects of initiatives concerning the nuclear programme.

My Loft & Garage Days come alive, again!!!

The absolute best account of Disco and Dance in the 70's, especially if you were a Loft & Garage person. Really learned some new and interesting stuff about my boys, David Mancuso, Nicky Siano, Larry Levan and my best bud, Walter Gibbons. Loved this book!!!
